Closing a year "on the road"

Like always around this time, we are closing the books at the end of another year. 2015 was a very special one for us: a year of travel, adventure, seeing new things and meeting new friends. A whole year on the road. Not a comfortable one. A year of getting from status to skills, where it does not matter who you are, but what you can do. A year of being on probation every 4 weeks. Thinking of getting out of the comfort zone? Yes, it is true: you learn a lot. I learned for example, to do myself again the things which made me succeed in my trade, and not to delegate what I enjoy. Also it was a year of leaving our home and finding a new one. It needs more than just a few lines to recapture on this journey. I will find the time to do so.

To all of our friends around the world, a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year. Thank you for welcoming and staying with us. We have dropped anchor in Malta, in a place where I can take the boat to go to the library. This was a long way to come (back) here. People say that the way is the destination. I think the way shapes the destination. It is the context, and the interpretation of where we are. We are at the Southern tip of Europe, in one of the world's smallest countries, 290 km off a war shaken Libya, with no significant resources but a great spirit. And we love it.
