The limestone of Malta had a window to the azure blue Mediterranean. Being subject to continued erosion, last night this window collapsed into the sea. It was a landmark of Gozo Island at Saint Lawrence. Just gone, as if it had never been there. What is left, is a dead end road and a large parking space where formerly tourists arrived to see the spectacular arch. As this is one of the best connected bays on Gozo, now it might even make sense to develop a hotel or another attraction there.
